The Cabin can be a fickle beast with consequences for the next Cabin visitors. It is important to leave the cabin in the same, preferably better condition then when you arrived. In the winter make sure the water is properly tuned On/Off. Know who to contact and find information if sh*t goes sideways. Always lock up because the bears are frequent visitors.

Truckee Chamber of Commerce provides information on larger events centralized in Truckee/Squaw area. Many visiting family oriented activities but lacks in smaller local events.
Lake Tahoe Thie Week has larger events in the greater Lake Tahoe region. Broken into regions encircling the lake, great for planning fullday exploration adgendas in and around Lake Tahoe.
Truckee Travel Guide this site has it all! Tons of local information from Lake Tahoe Beaches and accomodations to very low-key acustic music jams on their public calendar. Covers Greater Lake Tahoe, but specializes in Truckee communities.
